Video:

I just started playing and I'm finding it pretty fun (Managed to nab a 5* after playing only 4 days thanks to their pull system).

Clarification: I temporarily put lacechan for ref codes since I already had 50. Lacechan isn't my account. I should have clarified better. My 2 accounts are lexysaurus and lexykin. Sorry for any confusion.

(Please use refferal code Lexysaurus if you want to get a free ticket 0.~).

It's still brand new which means they're giving out tons of free stuff to develop a user base.  It reminds me of Ayakashi Ghost Club if Ayakashi was less repetitive and boring (and not owned by Zynga yayy). There is a component where you fight bosses with allies which makes it similar to Valkyrie Crusade.

Being a trading card/card collecting game addict I made a fake facebook for spamming. I would recommend using one for this game. You can spam every 4 hours and collect points to get awesome stuff.

A very interesting part of the game is you can farm tickets to pull cards, and you are supposed to wait till "fever time," to start pulling. Supposedly, the chances of getting 5* are relatively good. Which makes it somewhat more beginner friendly than Ayakashi, which is rumored to have very difficult 5* pulls.

Pretty 6* That Will Be Added Soon (Made from evolved 5*):

I think it feels good to shop around and try new things. I have started playing collectible card games rather than trading, because I realized that at its heart Fanta is like a crappy collectible card game. With the lack of TE on the market it's really difficult to trade cards and get new things. Playing Valkyrie Crusade and now Devil Maker, you can get nice cards without "grinding" as hard as Fanta. There is no RMT to deal with, people get what they want so they don't hack, also (just speaking about Valkyrie Crusade) the only mid event changes have been balance patches.

It's nice to play a game and possibly spend money and not feel like you're being extorted or manipulated into having a gambling addiction XD.

Yes, that was a serious dick move on SS's or Mobage's part.

I think they realized a lot of people quit who were around during Xmas event. They wanted to do something similar to remind people of their dickishness. They have to keep the level of dickishness at a certain level so they don't disappoint people's expectations.

Honestly, I can't stress out the point that the release of the 7*s probably had a negative impact on their sales since some events (such as this current arena event) don't have 7* prizes and thus people won't be spending on these events.

Still, their stupidity and greediness reached maximum levels this time as they wanted to milk people off of their money on an event that originally wasn't generating enough profits for them.

Well, good job on their part. I have a few allies that quit thanks to this.

Yeah, It's pretty similar. I'm excited about it since I always wanted to like Ayakashi but never could. Also (small thing but enjoyable) you can fast forward through the narrative scenes and watch them later XD. I like learning about the story, but I like to fight things first XD.

Also the interface is preteh, which is one thing that ROB always grossed me out with XD.

Ya it has come a long way plus they did something that fanta should do considering how useless brave has become since in deity wars u can convert ur useless yell points aka brave points into casino chips which u can gamble with or buy items or cards

Mobage kind of reminds me of the record industry and piracy. They're like "nuuuu no te people could hack and use it the wrong way... instead let's make a way for people to exploit tons of personal TE via invite system. What could go wrong?" XD

I think that some games can be fine without tradeable currency if they're designed well. However, fanta is pretty lame XD. They are designed around only getting cards from packs or rank rewards and their card drops are pathetic. Plus there's like 3 types of currency of varying degrees of relevance XD.

I have been getting quite a few people giving me referrals. Thanks! <3 I am excited that people are joining with me, since I think devilmaker is going to be a really fun game.

Just as a reminder if you are from fanta I will make space for you in my ally list. Make sure to tell me in the topic, PM, or via message in game you are from fanta. I can't see who gives me referrals, so I can't see who to add.

Basic Tutorial On Enhancing:

Note: The game is still very new, and I am still learning, so there may be errors in this guide. I will change the guide as I learn more. There is a beautiful guide in the FAQ section of the game its self that details what I am going to talk about. If you go FAQ-> Guide, you can find very well done tutorials. I am writing this guide to expand on things a bit for beginners.

These are my 5* Cards. Their appearance will change slightly as I evolve them. I am just going to talk about 5* for the tutorial, but you can apply most of the advice to 4* and so on.

Arianhod:

Chronozon:

The letter grade doesn't matter until you evolve the card to its fullest potential, since each evolution will reset the rank and additional skill of the card (if you haven't  fused a skill then don't worry about it). Cards are either common, uncommon, rare, unique (I think you can't enhance to unique, you only get from special event cards). After the cards are fully evolved to rare by evolution, I can upgrade their rank using recontact tickets (save your recontract tickets!).

You can also take a skill from one card and transfer it to another, but this also resets after a card is evolved. Skill transfer seems like the most intermediate process, and I have no experience with it so I won't write about it here.

My two cards are common, so my first goal will be to obtain 5* ingredients and points to upgrade them. For both of them it will take eight 5* ingredients that can be obtained weekly from the Daily Theme Park. They will also require evolution points that can be acquired by exchanging 3* and 4* for evolution points.

This part I am not 100 percent sure about, I will update as I find out:

To get 5* cards to their fullest potential/having the best stats it will require you to complete this process 2 times for 5* to go common-> uncommon-> rare.

I think for 4* it's a bit different, because you can go a step further and evolve common->uncommon->rare-> into common 5*. As of now there is no process to turn a 5* into a 6*, but there are rumors that it's on the horizon in the future.

I have heard that the level of the card doesn't reset after evolving. So don't hesitate to level up the cards before evolving. I will confirm this once I have evolved cards on my own.

Suggestion: If you acquire Jack the Ripper from a core, I suggest thinking about using recontract tickets on Jack, since Jack is already evolved fully (if you like the card and plan to use it for a long time). This is a difficult decision since you may want to save recontract tickets for future 5* or 6*, however I think as a new person it's a really great power boost.  Jack is a really really strong card as a new person, since it is evolved to unique.

In your honest opinion aubade, is this better than VC or does one do better than the other at some aspects?

Hmm. That's really tricky to answer. Valk is more team oriented and I feel like their enhancing system is more straight forward.

However sometimes I struggle with being motivated to play due to how repetitive it gets sometimes.

Devilmaker is very similar to ayakashi in that its story focused but it does have some team aspects.

I find them both complimentary in terms of cool downs. I feel I am able to play both and have a better experience by including both.

With fanta I am way less active due to the short cooldowns and difficult requirements to get cards. I feel like with devil and valk they are good for casual play. I just joined devil and I'm already in top 300-400 in ranking.

Cooldowns for arena in devil are 15 min and their vitality points replenish like valk's.

So yeah I plan to dump fanta and play both XD

I'll use your invite code aubade, but I probably won't stick with the game unless it's generous like VC Smile
